What is "Sustainably Farmed Food" aka "Community Supported Agriculture?"
Our Sustainably Farmed Food (SFF) Program is based on traditional community supported agriculture (CSA) programs in which a small farm grows food, pre-sells the food to customers, and delivers that food on a weekly basis as it gets harvested.
Why join the Liberty Heights Fresh Sustainably Farmed Food Program (SFF)?
What makes our Sustainably Farmed Food Program so innovative is that we’re pooling the resources of a number of family farms, ranches, and food artisans throughout Utah and the West. Instead of the bounty from just one producer, we put together a variety of CCOF certified organic and locally grown seasonal produce along with other sustainably farmed foods. Our Sustainably Farmed Food Program supports sustainable agriculture, offers unique variety, and still passes along the cost savings to our customers.
How does it work?
SFF members enroll in a 13 week, 6 week or week by week option of delicious, fresh food. SFF bags will be available for pickup every Thursday after 1:00 pm. New members can join at any time since the program is ongoing.
For our Park City option, SFF bags will be available for pick-up every Thursday between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm at the Swaner EcoCenter at 1258 Center Drive in the heart of Newpark Town Center, adjacent to the Newpark Hotel and Resort, in Kimball Junction, and between 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm at No Place Like Home, 1685 Bonanza Drive in Park City.
What if I go on vacation?
No problem. Simply log into your account the Sunday before your next delivery day and we’ll add the missed week to the end of your current subscription.
What do I get?
The produce will vary from week to week. The items delivered will always be determined by Mother Nature. We’ll check in with our producers regularly to find out what’s ripe and what’s fresh and then get it to you right after it’s picked. One thing you can count on each week is that it will be delicious, authentic, full-flavored food. Exactly what you’d expect from Liberty Heights Fresh.
Each week you will receive an email detailing the contents of your next basket. With each shipment, we also include acesss to delicious recipes to best use the wonderful products in your bag.
A full share works best for families of 4 or more or for those who enjoy more vegetables in their daily cooking. A half share is perfect for couples, singles, or smaller families.
What's in the "Store?"
For your convenience, Liberty Heights Fresh has added the option of including your everyday staples to your weekly SFF order. Rosehill milks, Straus Family Creamery butter, Beehive Cheeses, Crumb Brothers rustic baguettes, Amour Spreads jams and more can now be added each week to your bag. Simply login to your SFF account through our website to visit the on-line store. Store purchases must be in to our system by 11:59pm Monday for your Thursday bag.
