This refreshing and invigorating beverage is a delight. For a milder flavor – use Oroblanco or Cocktail Grapefruit and adjust the sweetness to fit your palate. Makes about 6 glasses.
- 1 cup freshly squeezed organic grapefruit juice
- ½ cup - ¾ cup Clifford Family Farm wildflower honey
- ¼ cup freshly chopped organic ginger
- Lurisia Sparkling water
Zest one grapefruit, then juice the grapefruit.
Finely chop the ginger.
In a small saucepan, combine the grapefruit juice, zest, honey and fresh ginger over medium heat. Bring to a low boil and simmer for about two minutes, or until the honey is dissolved and the flavors have combined.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Strain. The syrup can be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
To serve, add 2 - 3 tablespoons of the ginger syrup to a tall glass with ice. Top with sparkling water and stir. Add more syrup to taste.
