Item Highlights

Leeks

Leeks are eaten fresh or cooked and added to other dishes, providing a sweet and somewhat earthy flavor that is much milder than an onion. A leek is used to enhance the flavor of salads, soups, stews, quiches, or meat and vegetable casseroles. Raw leeks are typically used as an ingredient in salads, dips and some sauces. Available throughout the year, leeks can be baked, braised in wine or a broth, or stir fried. When selecting leeks, look for those that are fresh, without blemishes and are small to medium in size. Since leeks are grown in sandy soil, they need to be cleaned thoroughly before being eaten. Leeks are considered to be the sweetest and most mild members of the onion family.

Holey Cow

Holey Cow is made with whole cow’s milk and is aged for at least one month by Central Coast Creamery in Paso Robles, California. This young swiss-style goat’s cheese is dotted with round openings called “eyes”. You will be greeted with the pleasant aroma of fresh cream and strawberries. Its velvety paste boasts notes of melted butter and roasted peanuts and finishes with a little tangy nip.

O’Banon

Capriole is one of the most prolific goat cheese makers in the US. O’banon is a testament to their creativity and ingenuity. While its subtle flavors and beautiful presentation are a perfect foil for bigger heavier cheeses on a cheese board, it’s perfect alone with a simple bread and a glass of dry bubbly. Unfold the bourbon soaked chestnut leaves like petals around the cheese, allow to dry briefly and come to room temperature, and serve. It can also be grilled briefly on low heat and served with a peach or nectarine salsa.

Diaspora Haldi Doodh

Commonly called golden milk, Haldi Doodh is a traditional Indian home remedy that has been used as a natural anti-inflammatory and painkiller for generations. Sourced from 40 small regenerative family farms across India and Sri Lanka, the spices in this jar of Haldi Doodh have been chosen for their flavor, freshness, and potency. This masala is vibrant and well-rounded with a base of high-curcumin Lakadong Turmeric and Aranya Black Pepper for maximum absorption, with Makhir Ginger, Baraka Cardamom, and Peni Miris Cinnamon layered in for added warmth and deliciousness.
