D’Artagnan pure-bred North American Wapiti Elk, one of the largest species of deer in the world, are raised by small independent ranchers near their native ranges in the western provinces of Canada. Farmers control every part of the process. They manage the natural grazing, the transportation, the processing, and finally the packaging. This Elk either graze naturally or consume healthy, plant-based supplements when the winter months become too harsh. No antibiotics or growth hormones are ever administered.
