Crimini Mushrooms
Crimini mushrooms are actually the same type of mushroom as white mushrooms and portobellos, the only difference being their stage of maturity. Crimini mushrooms have a mild, earthy flavor and a meaty texture. Crimini mushrooms are very versatile and can be used in various dishes. They can be eaten raw, sautéed, grilled, baked, roasted, or used in soups and sauces, as they hold up well in broths or curries. They are the perfect meat substitute as they have a hearty and chewy texture and richly savory flavor.
Walden
Named for Walden Ridge in Tennessee’s Sequatchie Valley, this French-style cheese has a singular, buttery profile. Walden is a soft-ripened cheese with a luscious, silky paste and complex nutty, woodsy notes with a hint of mushrooms. Light and stunning, this Southern selection is a natural pairing for crisp white wines, a plate of Sliced Tanara Culatta, and a dollop of Hillside Caramelized Fig Chutney. This particular Walden is perfect to eat now, but will age beautifully over the coming weeks.
Bad Boy
Park City Creamery fromager Corinne Zinn pairs her Belgian cheese-making experience with the Utah terroir to bring “Cheese With Altitude” to Park City and beyond. Bring Utah Terroir – Taste of Place – to your table with these Authentic European style cheeses made right here in Park City with local milk. Enjoy the unique floral and mountain fresh notes found only in cheese made at high altitude in Utah. This particular reblochon style cow’s milk cheese is luxuriously soft and incredible when paired with berries & honey.
Neera’s Tamarind Paste
Tamarind is a type of tropical fruit that comes from the tamarind tree, native to Africa but it also grows in other tropical regions including India. Commonly called the date of India, the tamarind tree produces bean-like pods which contain seeds and a fibrous pulp. As these pods ripen, the pulp becomes paste-like and takes on a sweet-sour taste. This tamarind paste from Neera’s is the perfect addition to marinades and curries or to use right from the jar for cooking Indian, Thai and other Asian recipes. An integral ingredient in all Vindaloo pastes and prepared curries. A must pantry item for the lover of Asian and Pacific Rim cuisines.
