Item Highlights
Ruby Grapefruit
TerraFresh Organics has specialized in high-quality, organic fruit since 1993. They work with trusted growers across the US, Mexico, and South America, focusing on responsible growing practices. They strive to maintain a consistent level of quality across all their offerings and to harvest at peak ripeness. Their organic Ruby grapefruits are especially vibrant this time of year, since we are in the middle of citrus season! Citrus in winter and early spring is deliciously sweet, juicy, and rich in flavor. Ruby grapefruits in particular are often less acidic than other varieties, making them an amazing choice for the season.
Blakesville Creamery Brebis
The goal at Blakesville Creamery / Blakesville Dairy Farm is to humanely raise healthy goats using sustainable farming practices and to produce the highest quality, handmade artisan cheeses. Theirr cheeses are made by hand on the same farm where the animals are raised. Because of this, care and attention to the purity, quality, and flavor of the milk are critical to the production process. Their naturally ripened cheeses are all made honoring traditional cheesemaking methods, focusing on developing characteristic flavor and texture. Their fresh sheep milk cheese, Brebis, is a brand new offering that we are extremely excited about! It has a tangy and acidic flavor and an extremely soft, spreadable texture. Try it paired with a dry cider, cherry preserves, or olive tapenade!
Sparkenhoe Red Leicester
Sparkenhoe Red Leicester is a raw-milk, cloth-bound cheese revived in 2005 by the Clarke family in Leicestershire, preserving a style that had been lost for decades. The cheese’s paste is vibrant orange and offers a rich, nutty flavor with subtle sweetness and a soft, chewy texture when young. Over time in Neal’s Yard Dairy’s care, the wheel matures into a drier, more crystalline form with brothy, savoury depth and concentrated umami.
Neal’s Yard Dairy is a London cheese merchant founded in 1979, acclaimed for its expertise in maturing and selecting exceptional British farmhouse cheeses. They source wheels and further age them in their Bermondsey maturation arches, bringing out deeper character and texture.
Elgon Nuts Roasted and Salted Macadamia Nuts
With their US office based in Utah, we have come to know and love the people and products of Elgon Nuts since bringing them to our shelves last year. Their macadamia nuts are harvested from sustainable Kenyan farms, where they are carefully cultivated to ensure the perfect buttery flavor. On top of harvesting the cleanest macadamia nuts, Elgon Nuts donates a macadamia tree seedling to fellow local Kenyan farmers with each purchase. Each batch is rich in healthy monounsaturated fats and beneficial fatty acids, including palmitoleic acid. Expertly dry-roasted and delicately seasoned with Redmond Real Salt, these macadamias deliver that signature rich, buttery crunch in every bite.
Askinosie Davao, Philippines 58% Dark Chocolate + Orange
The story of Askinosie started when Shawn Askinosie quit his successful law practice and suddenly fell in love with making chocolate from scratch. He dumped his entire life savings into starting a US-based craft chocolate company and started traveling to remote regions of Ecuador, Tanzania, and the Amazon, searching for exotic cocoa beans and small farmers to share the profits with. This bar was made to taste like a candied orange peel dipped in chocolate. The rich and smooth dark chocolate brings fudgy vanilla notes that blend beautifully with the bright, zesty orange. The citrus flavor is lively but harmonizes seamlessly with the chocolate’s creaminess, making it both refreshing and indulgent. This bar is ideal for savoring on its own or pairing with dessert wines!
