Item Highlights

Celery Root

Celery Root, also known as celeriac, is a wintertime root in the same botanical family as parsley, parsnips, and carrots. Celery Root can be used as a lower-carb, healthier potato. Celeriac and celery originated in the Mediterranean Basin. Celeriac was grown as a medicinal crop in some early civilizations. Celery contains a plant compound called apigenin, which was used in traditional Chinese medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent. Celery Root is an excellent source of vitamin K, fiber, vitamin C, and potassium. Peel, cube, and roast for the perfect delicious simple side dish or puree for the perfect accompaniment to your favorite protein!

Tomme Dolce

Andante Dairy’s Tomme Dolce is a firm goat’s milk cheese that has been washed with a local artisan brandy and plum jam. The style is similar to a classic Pyrenees Tomme. It is firm, with an even, closed texture and a wonderful salty-sweet mix with notes of honey, caramel, nuttiness, and almost a garlicky umami character. Pair with Beaujolais style light reds, sparkling wines, or off-dry aromatic white wines like Gewurztraminer

La Tur

a dense, creamy blend of pasteurized cow, goat and sheep milk. Runny and oozing around the perimeter with a moist, cakey, palette-coating paste, its flavor is earthy and full, with a lingering lactic tang. The effect is like a scoop of ice cream; decadent and melting from the outside in

Sàgona Dispenza EVOO

Liberty Heights Fresh is an exclusive retailer of this deliciously high quality Italian extra virgin olive oil, Sàgona, meaning you can’t find it anywhere else in Utah! We were excited to get a delivery of the monocultivar Coratina from their harvest this year and are even more excited to share them with you. Dispenza 2021 is from Giovinazzo, just north of Bari in Puglia. The chosen olives are coratina olives, green / unripe, and they were farmed with no treatments although not certified organic. The olives went from tree to mill in about 30 minutes. The olives were expertly milled by Salvatore Stallone at his frantoio Le Tre Colonne also in Giovinazzo. Dispenza is an intense olive oil, with expansive, complex, fruity, green perfumes, the flavors are predominantly green almonds and artichokes with some balsamic notes, intense bitterness and spiciness are balanced. This big character olive oil harmonizes with and elevates the flavors of flavorful foods and also acts as a counterpoint for sweeter foods like beets and squash. It pairs wonderfully with grilled & roasted meats, flavorful fish, and sharp cheeses, but also mozzarella and burrata, pizza, tomatoes, dark green vegetables, squash, mushrooms, beans, and so much more!
