Item Highlights

Fava Beans

Fava beans are a springtime crop that we have been waiting all winter for. One of the oldest known cultivated plants, fava beans date back to about 6000 BCE and were eaten by the ancient Greeks, Romans, and settlers of the eastern Mediterranean. Today, fava beans are part of Asian, European, South American, and African cuisines. Fresh favas can be eaten raw, cooked, or dried for use later, and the versatile bean can be used for salads, stews, sauces, fillings, etc. Fava beans bring a delicate, buttery taste with traces of nuttiness that goes perfectly on any plate.

Fromager D’Affinois

Luscious and buttery, Fromager D’Affinois is a more decadent version of brie. A true crowd pleaser, it’s consistently one of Murray’s top ten best sellers, winning over customers with its thick, silky texture and sweet, milky flavor. Aged for 2 months, this luxurious double cream cheese matches beautifully with crispy crackers and quince paste. Bubbly drinks are perfect for this cheese, be it sparkling water or wine or a classic French champagne

Sunny Ridge

Picture a lakeside picnic on a clear summer day. That’s the kind of easy, breezy eating embodied by Sunny Ridge, crafted by Blakesville Creamery on the shores of Lake Michigan. Inspired by French St. Nectaire, this semi-firm wheel is washed in beer from Chicago’s is/was brewing, bringing a slight fruitiness to the rind. But what makes this cheese so special is the clean, bright flavor of goat’s milk that shines through this truly indulgent snack.

Curio Sēti Berbere

Sēti means ‘female’ or ‘woman’ in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia, and this blend celebrates two women-owned co-ops where many of the spices in this blend come from. Our berbere is medium hot and deeply flavorful – an iconic blend for making Ethiopian cuisine. Use for rubs, stews, or roasted vegetables this mix is perfect for its vibrant peppery flavor profile, complexity, and most of all, its versatility.
