Item Highlights

Fennel

Fennel is one of the most underrated vegetables, It has a fresh, aromatic anise flavor, and it can be eaten raw, sautéed, roasted, or even added to soups and sauces. One of the best things about fennel is that it’s character changes depending on how you cut it. Fennel has a very mild anise or licorice flavor that can be enhanced or sweetened depending on how it is cooked (or not cooked). When diced and sauteed with onions as one of the first steps when making a soup or stew, fennel becomes very sweet. Be it roasted or raw, fennel deserves to be a kitchen staple.

Cabot Clothbound Black Label

Clothbound is an approachable but complex natural-rind, bandaged cheddar with a crumbly texture and nutty aroma. Aged for 9-14 months in Vermont, the flavor is deeply savory and slightly tangy with caramel sweetness to the finish. The Black-Label designation is reserved for batches which present the finest representation of the full potential of Jasper Hill’s award-winning cheddar.

Fleur Verte

A soft, creamy, rindless cheese with just the slightest tang of goat’s milk and an uncharacteristic sweetness. This French creation is covered in fresh green herbs – tarragon and thyme, along with pink peppercorns – all of which add a distinctive flavor to the subtle, moist cheese. Try with Rosé or Pinot Gris. Earlier in the day, spread on a baguette and add a bit of fig paste. Beautiful to add to a cheese platter, too.

Amour Spreads Orange Habanero Marmalade

This jam is a feast for the senses. Sweet, juicy navel orange is the first flavor you notice when you taste in this decadent orange habanero marmalade. But close behind is a gentle kick of habanero pepper spiciness. Not too much, just the right balance of sweet and heat. This marmalade is amazing on all kinds of cheese and would add that great little spice to any glaze or marinade you might be making for either proteins, greens or salad dressings. Amour Spreads has brought two incredible flavors together creating a stunningly divine marmalade. Truly beautiful to behold, smell and savor.
