Item Highlights
Kohlrabi
Kohlrabi may be one of the more unusual-looking vegetables in the market, but don’t let its shape fool you—it’s incredibly versatile and easy to love! Its pale green flesh is crisp and juicy, with a mild sweetness that’s somewhere between broccoli stems and apples. Peel away the tough outer layer and slice it thin for salads and slaws, roast it until tender, or cube it into soups and stir-fries. You can even cook the greens like kale or chard. It’s a great source of fiber, potassium, and vitamin C, making it a smart and tasty addition to your spring kitchen.
Whitney
Whitney is Jasper Hill Farm’s take on a young Alpine-style cheese, made with raw milk from their own grass-fed cows in Vermont. It has a velvety, pliant texture and a flavor profile that balances sweet cream with notes of toasted nuts and cured ham. The curds are rinsed during cheesemaking to slow acid development, resulting in a smooth, elastic body. During aging, the wheels are washed with a cultured brine and spent yeast from La Garagista, a Vermont natural winery, lending subtle earthy complexity. Whitney melts beautifully, making it ideal for raclette, grilled cheese, or draped over roasted vegetables. It was awarded Best in Show at the 2022 American Cheese Society Awards!
Funky Monk
Funky Monk is a semi-soft, washed-rind cheese made from pasteurized cow’s milk by Kaasboerderij ‘t Groendal in East Flanders, Belgium. Aged for 3 to 6 weeks, it offers a fudgy texture and a flavor profile featuring notes of sweet cream and cooked onions, making it approachable despite its name. The cheese is matured by affineur Van Tricht in Antwerp, known for refining many fine European cheeses. Funky Monk pairs well with crusty bread and a glass of Belgian ale!
Amish Country Rainbow Unique Blend Popcorn
Amish Country’s Rainbow Unique Blend Popcorn is a colorful mix of several heirloom varieties, including red, yellow, and midnight blue kernels. Though the kernels are multicolored, they pop into fluffy white or pale yellow pieces, offering a subtle mix of textures and flavors. This blend is non-GMO, gluten-free, and contains no added preservatives, making it a wholesome snack option. It’s suitable for various popping methods, including air poppers, stovetop, and microwave. Whether enjoyed plain or seasoned, this popcorn provides a delightful and visually appealing treat.
Amano Dos Rios, Dominican Republic 70% Chocolate
Amano’s Dos Rios 70% dark chocolate is made from rare Dominican Republic cocoa beans that caught the attention of Amano’s founder for their one-of-a-kind flavor. Thanks to a unique fermentation process, these beans naturally express notes of bergamot, orange, and lavender—no added flavors, just careful craftsmanship. It’s a bar that doesn’t fit the mold of traditional chocolate, and that’s the point. Amano is known for their small-batch approach and dedication to showcasing the true character of each origin they work with. This bar is a perfect example: complex, aromatic, and magical!
