Lemon Cucumbers
Small, tender, and sweet lemon cucumbers are a unique fruit. Though their name makes it seem like they’re a hybrid of two very different fruits, they’re actually just one type of cucumber. But they happen to look like lemons! Despite their name, these cucumbers don’t actually taste like lemons (or any citrus, for that matter). Instead, their flavor is similar to other cucumbers. They’re crisp and refreshing but perhaps a bit milder than typical cucumbers. Plus, they’re sweeter due to lower amounts of cucurbitacin, which is what makes most cucumbers taste a little bitter. The perfect unique edition to any summer salad or pickled for a quirky treat!
Mahon Semicurado
Menorca island, all wrapped up in a cheese! Sea winds, heavy rainfall, and high atmospheric humidity on the rocky island irrigate the pastures, giving the milk a high acidity and a touch of saltiness. The production of this cheese dates back to the Roman times and has always been an important industry for the people and farmers of the island. This semi-hard Mahón has all the tell-tale island cheese notes: bursting acidity, strong mineral flavors and a naturally salty note. With its paprika-rubbed rind it’s a star on the cheese board (and on the palate!).
Cavatina
Andante Dairy established in 1999 by Soyoung Scanlon who started out as a biochemist with a strong background and love for classical music as an avid pianist. Bring these passions together and what you get is some of the most amazing cheese you will ever experience. Cavatina is made from pasteurized goat’s milk and covered with ash. The rind of the cheese is gray-white in color with a soft, delicate undulating surface. The interior of the cheese is pure white. This cheese is bright, with a wonderful balance of citrus, earth, grass, and savory barnyard notes.
Artisan Malt Vinegar
Artisan Malt Vinegar isn’t any ordinary malt vinegar. Made with the finest Maris Otter malt and Cornish spring water. Naturally fermented, oak-matured, then drawn straight from the barrel – live, unfiltered and unpasteurised. The result is a mellow acidity, with mouth-filling, rounded flavour. Artisan Malt Vinegar brings a touch of class to chips, but it can also be used wherever you might use a fine wine or balsamic vinegar: ideal for dressings, marinades and sauces, as well as sublime chutneys and relishes. It is equally at home on the delicatessen or grocery shelf, as a beautiful addition to the restaurant table, or as an ingredient in the fine- food kitchen.
