Item Highlights
Red Watermelon Radish
On its exterior, a watermelon radish looks a lot like a white radish or turnip. The bulb is white or light green and has leafy green stalks sprouting from the radish top. Underneath the surface, the flesh has a ring of white just below the skin, transitioning to bright pink, fuchsia, or magenta center. The coloring will vary in each radish depending on cultivation practices, growing environment, and soil type. The flesh also has a firm, dense, succulent, and tender texture with a crisp, snap-like consistency. Add raw watermelon radish slices to a salad, bowl, or sandwich for color and crunch. Or toss cubed watermelon radishes with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and roast them for a quick and easy side dish. You can even pile pickled watermelon radishes onto tacos or veggie burgers for a bright pop of flavor.
Marais Raclette
Alpe Marais is located in the famous Val d’Anniviers, the Raclette’s center of the universe. The hut – including the dairy and a popular “buvette” (restaurant) – is situated on 4’500 feet altitude. The dairy team receives milk from 100 cows. The main focus lies, no surprise, on the Raclette production. The raw milk wheels from up here are famous and usually sold out before the end of the year. This traditional melting cheese is a perfect addition to elevate your favorite potatoes or roasted vegetables.
Appleby’s Dairy/ Neal’s Yard Dairy Cheshire
A timeless, traditional British Territorial cheese with delicious, grassy, piquant flavours. It has an earthy complexity and a subtleness that lingers. Appleby’s is the only raw milk, clothbound, farmhouse Cheshire still in production, despite this once being the most famous of all British cheeses.
