Item Highlights
Straightneck Squash
Straightneck squash is a classic summer variety characterized by its smooth, pale yellow skin and a mild, subtly sweet flavor. Its firm flesh holds up well to grilling, roasting, or sautéing, but it’s tender enough to slice thin and eat raw in salads or slaws. Compared to zucchini, it has a denser bite and a brighter color, making it a great way to mix things up in everyday cooking. Try it in a veggie stir-fry, stuffed and baked, or simply tossed with olive oil and herbs on the grill. It’s one of those easy, versatile vegetables that works just about anywhere.
Valserena Parmigiano Reggiano
Parmigiano Reggiano, often called the “King of Cheeses,” is a culinary treasure with centuries of tradition behind it. Valserena is the oldest Parmigiano Reggiano dairy in Parma. Each wheel is carefully aged for a minimum of 24 months, allowing the cheese to develop its signature crystalline texture and complex flavor while staying true to the time-honored methods of production. With notes of rich butter and bright citrus, Parmigiano Reggiano is incredibly versatile. Shave it over salads, grate it into pastas and soups, or break off chunks to enjoy on their own with a drizzle of honey or balsamic vinegar.
Capriole O’Banon
Capriole, a family-owned farm in southern Indiana, has been producing exceptional goat cheeses for over 30 years, emphasizing sustainable farming practices and artisanal craftsmanship. Their O’Banon cheese is a standout, crafted from the milk of their small herd of goats. This soft-ripened cheese is wrapped in aromatic, bourbon-soaked chestnut leaves, which infuse it with a delicate herbal flavor, while the creamy interior offers a smooth, tangy richness. The combination of the chestnut leaves and the rich, tangy goat milk creates a uniquely complex flavor profile that is distinct, earthy, and fresh.
Allemandi Dry Stuffed Tortellini with Porcini Mushrooms
These delicate, egg tortellini are filled with a savory blend of porcini mushrooms, the rich flavor shining through in every bite. Made by Pastificio Allemandi, a small family-run producer in Piemonte, they use artisan techniques and regional ingredients to craft pasta with remarkable texture and depth. These are shelf-stable dried tortellini made with fragrant egg pasta dough and a typical touch of nutmeg. Try them simply with butter and sage or garlic—no need to overdo it when the pasta is this good!
Hu Dark Chocolate Gems
Hu Dark Chocolate Gems are a versatile, minimally processed chocolate option made with just three organic ingredients: cacao, unrefined coconut sugar, and cocoa butter. They are certified vegan, paleo, gluten-free, and USDA organic, with no refined sugar, soy lecithin, or sugar alcohols. Their hexagon shape and smooth texture make them ideal for melting, baking, or enjoying straight from the bag.
