Coke Farms Strawberries
Strawberry fans rejoice! The time has come for the famous, delicious Coke Farms strawberries to hit our shelves, farmers market stand, and of course your produce bag. Coke Farms was started in Watsonville, California in 1980 when the founder planted a quarter-acre of strawberries on his property. Every since they have been providing the most delicious, organic strawberries around. We are very happy to provide these berries all season long through our stand at the downtown farmers market as well as on the shelves in the store. These fragrant, juicy berries are a must-try!
Landmark Creamery is located in Albany, Wisconsin, and was founded in 2013. Since then these master cheesemongers have been making beautifully inspired cheese creations. Smooth and fruity with a bit of funk, this washed-rind sheep milk cheese is inspired by the mountain cheeses of the Basque region of Spain. Expect sweet aromas, mild hits of salt, a clean finish, and a pleasant hint of sheepy flavor from this ewe’s milk cheese. Cave-aged for at least three months, the cheese holds a firm and hearty texture below its rust-colored rind, the result of light washings with a Brevibacterium linens solution. Pair with marcona almonds, marmalade or a farmhouse ale.
Wolffer Rose Willoughby
Made by one of the most prolific cheese makers in the US, Jasper Hill Farm. This new limited edition release of Willoughby utilizes dry rosé cider from Wölffer Estate in Long Island to wash the rind of these delectable rounds. Aromas of peat, caramelized Onion; milky, herbal, peach. Succulent and buttery with a pungent, complex flavor and thin, tender, rosy-orange rind adding an earthy dimension to the gooey interior. Pair with honey or nice jams, juicy rosé wines or good dry ciders, ‘orange’ wines, deeply flavored white wines, belgian beers or pilsners
Piquillo Peppers with Sweet Kombu Porto-Muiños
Piquillo peppers are one of the “must have” sides to go along with a spread of conservas, and these take the typical and make it into something unique with the addition of sweet kombu seaweed. Piquillo peppers are small, sweet peppers grown in northern Spain. Paired with diver-caught sweet kombu, this is a unique and delicious vegetarian variation of conserva, with smokey depth, brisk salinity, and tangy sweetness.
